This Privacy Policy explains how TracQi Technology collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information for TracQi OBD2, DragStar, TrackStar, the TracQi web dashboard, and related websites and services. In this policy, TracQi, we, us, and our refer to TracQi Technology.
This policy applies to the TracQi mobile apps, web dashboard, public website, support interactions, uploaded logs, synced vehicle data, and app-store listings. It is intended to support the privacy disclosure requirements for Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Name, email address, profile photo, authentication provider, user ID, roles, subscription or entitlement status, and account settings.
Vehicle year, make, model, optional VIN, engine, tire, chassis, transmission, drivetrain, modification, tune, tag, and garage metadata that you enter or sync.
Diagnostic trouble codes, readiness monitors, sensor readings, fuel trims, oxygen sensor data, coolant temperature, engine load, RPM, speed, boost, pressure, MAF, MAP, acceleration, timestamps, log files, uploaded files, filenames, parse warnings, and derived health or performance metrics.
When you grant permission, DragStar and TrackStar may collect precise location, GPS speed, route, distance, lap, track, acceleration, gyroscope, orientation, and other motion data to measure runs, dyno estimates, lap timing, and telemetry.
Device model, operating system, app version, browser type, IP address, session cookies, diagnostic logs, crash or error data, and security events used to operate and protect the services.
Subscription, purchase, receipt, transaction, or entitlement identifiers from Apple, Google, Stripe, or RevenueCat. TracQi does not store full payment card numbers.
Messages, attachments, feedback, support requests, and contact details you provide when you ask for help or communicate with us.
Some data is provided by you, some is collected from your vehicle, phone sensors, browser, OBD2 adapter, or uploaded files, and some is derived from calculations performed by TracQi.
The mobile apps request permissions only when needed for app features. Depending on the app and platform, these permissions may include Bluetooth or nearby-device access for OBD2 adapters, location for speed, distance, dyno, lap, and track features, motion sensors for acceleration and telemetry, notifications for account or app events, and file access when you choose logs to import. You can change permissions in iOS or Android settings. Some features may not work without the relevant permission.
When you request a TracQi CoDriver insight, we may send relevant diagnostic, performance, vehicle, or log context to an AI service provider so the provider can return an explanation or recommendation. We limit the context to what is needed for the requested feature and avoid sending direct account identifiers when they are not necessary.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve TracQi, including with:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
We keep account, vehicle, log, diagnostic, telemetry, and derived metric data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services. You can delete data in the product where available or request deletion. We may retain limited records for security, backups, legal compliance, dispute resolution, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction. We will respond to applicable privacy requests as required by law.
TracQi is not directed to children under 13, or to children under the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication controls, encrypted transport, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
TracQi is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from your country.
We provide privacy information to Google Play and Apple App Store Connect based on the data practices described in this policy. Store privacy labels and data safety forms may summarize categories such as account information, identifiers, diagnostics, location, app activity, user content, purchases, and vehicle or sensor data.
